This Week in Cebu City (April 4 to April 10, 2016)

Crown Regency Hotels and Towers – Cebu is a 40-storey hotel tower located close to the iconic Fuente Osmeña rotunda in Cebu City. On April 4, 2016 the Pre-Pageant Night of Miss UP Cebu 2016 will be held at the University of the Philippines Cebu Performance Arts Hall. Miss UP Cebu is an annual event aimed at upholding women as well as supporting advocacies. Aside from being a competition of intelligence and grace, the event also serves as a venue to promote social initiative and involvement. Miss Cebu Wynonah Van Joy Buot 2015 and Sinulog Festival Queen Julienne Hazel Penserga 2015 are products of this event. The Pre-Pageant Night will be open to the public. The Coronation Night of the event will be held at The Atrium of Robinsons Galleria Cebu on April 7, 2016. The event is presented by the Miss UP Organization, Communicators of UP, and Alitaptap Productions in cooperation with Robinsons Galleria, My TV, and ChannelFix.com.

Alburs Restaurant Cebu is a newly opened hole-in-the-wall restaurant offering burgers, pizza, and other dishes. Burger prices at Alburs start at PhP90 while pizza prices start at PhP270. This al fresco restaurant is located in Kasambagan, Mabolo, Cebu City, and is open every day from 4:00 PM up to 12:00 midnight.

The King of Chicken is another hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in the ground floor of the New Ramos Center along F. Ramos Street, Cebu City. The restaurant has a number of chicken, beef, fish and vegetable dishes on its menu.The price range of the dishes is from PhP35 for the ArrozCaldo up to PhP110 for the Two-Piece Chicken Dish. The restaurant is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM from Monday to Saturday.

With the onset of summer, traffic in the city is light to moderate since many students are either on vacation or have gone home. But, traffic disruption can be expected on April 4 along Gorordo Avenue in front of the University of the Philippines Cebu Performance Arts Hall due to the Pre-Pageant Night of the Miss Up Cebu 2016.

Cebu City will experience partly cloudy weather from April 4 to 8. On the other hand, partly sunny weather is expected in the city on April 9 and 10. There is a 10 percent chance of rainfall from April 4 to April 8 and 21 percent chance of rainfall on April 9 and 10.Temperatures are expected to peak at 34 °C from Monday to Thursday. A minimum temperature of 26°C will be experienced in the city for the week.
