September has ended. It’s time to wake up! The events scene in Cebu is slowly catching up to its big sister in the north. Expos, live shows, beach parties, and concerts are all in the pipeline for the month of October.
If you ever find yourself in Cebu, check out the following events at this time of the year.
1. Cebu Wedding Expo 2018: Weddings at the Waterfront

Wedding bells may not toll yet, but couples can start preparing as early as October at the Cebu Wedding Expo.

While most couples schedule their wedding in June, preparations normally come months before this big occasion. It is a nerve-wracking experience trying to coordinate everything for this once-in-a-lifetime event. It does not have to be that way. Engaged couples can visit the Cebu Wedding Expo 2018 where vendors and companies come together under one roof. From photographers to cake suppliers and flower vendors, couples can tick off every item on their to-do list during in this two-day event.

As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino brings together five celebrated Filipino designers who will showcase their talents in the Queen City of the South. Leading the group are Michael Cinco, Francis Libiran, and Furne Amato. They will be joined by Cary Santiago and Ezra Santos. The five designers will bring out their masterpieces in a bridal fashion show that might possibly soon become a must-see event in the Philippine fashion scene.

DJ Daiki of Japan brings his brand of house music to rock Cebu at the Electro Beach Festival.

While many residents and visitors love to have fun under the sun, you can also let your hair down when the sky turns dark on the beaches of Cebu. DJ Daiki and guest shock jocks from Japan will bring the house down at the Ibiza Beach Club of Movenpick Mactan Island Hotel with their high octane beats and mixes.

4. Cebu Food and Beverage Expo (CEFBEX) 2018

When: October 11 to October 14, 2018; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fans of Maymay Entrata are in for a treat on October 19 as the Pinoy Big Brother alumna will hold a concert at the Hoops Dome Arena. The Dream Tour will feature the young star singing and dancing to the beat on stage away from watchful the eyes of Big Brother. Joining Maymay will be fellow PBB alumnus Edward Barber.

6. A1 20th Anniversary “Reunion” Tour

Popular British-Norwegian boy-band is set for a one-night reunion concert in the Queen City of the South.

The members of the popular 90s boy-band, A1, are set to come together for a one-night concert at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. This much-awaited reunion of Christian Ingebrigtsen, Paul Marazzi, Ben Adams, and Mark Read will happen seven years after they decided to split up. The band is known for hit singles Same Old Brand New You and Caught in The Middle.
