Visitors in Cebu can look forward to a number of events as the year comes to a close. A concert and a musical kick off the month of December along with a beauty pageant. A countdown party is a fitting way to cap off the year for both residents and visitors in Cebu.
These events will likely keep your blood pumping even as the cool weather starts to envelop the Queen City of the South. Read on and see which show or concert in Cebu this December 2018 can warm you up!
1. Michael Learns to Rock Live in Cebu

The titos and titas (uncles and aunts) of Cebu are in for a treat on December 7, as the popular 90s band is set to perform at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. Mikkel Lentz, Kåre Wanscher, and Jascha Richter are expected to belt out familiar tunes such as “25 Minutes,” “Out Of The Blue,” “The Actor,” and “Paint My Love.” The concert is part of the “Still Asian Tour 2018/2019” of the biggest pop-rock band from Denmark.
How to get to Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino: From SM City Cebu, you can ride a jeepney headed for Lahug and get off at Cebu IT Park. The hotel is located right across Cebu IT Park.

2. 41st Mrs. Universe Pageant

When: December 11, 2018

The Mrs. Universe Pageant is set to take the stage for the first time in the country on December 11.

Following the successful hosting of the Ms. Earth beauty pageant in the nation’s capital, the spotlight is turned to Cebu as it hosts the 41st Mrs. Universe Pageant. The pageant brings together around 80 married women from all over the world with the goal of empowering women and creating positive change. For the first time, the pageant will be held in the country. The event will be hosted by DeAnna Emborski, Mrs. Universe North America 2018.
How to get to SM Seaside City Cebu: From SM City Cebu, take a MyBus ride to SM Seaside City Cebu.
Tip: Similar to concerts, it’s more fun to watch beauty pageants with a group of friends.
3. Jessica Sanchez Live at Waterfront Hotel Cebu

Filipino-American singer and songwriter Jessica Sanchez is set to hold a one-night-only concert a few days before Christmas. The American Idol runner-up is expected to belt out her own rendition of popular pop songs as well as cuts from her recent albums.

Musical lovers are in for a treat as 2TinCans Philippines, Inc. is set to host Scharon Mani at the Centerstage of SM Seaside City Cebu. Directed by Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson, the musical is about a little girl from Dumaguete City who wants to achieve her dreams with the help of her friends. The event is made possible through a special arrangement with Youth Advocates through Theatre Arts (YATTA).

Tip: When attending plays and musicals, it’s always best to arrive early so you can be in your seat before the show starts.
5. Glitters and Blues (A New Year’s Countdown Party)

When: December 31, 2018
