Royal Air Philippines now has available flights from Kunming City, China, to Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA), starting last July 25.
Flight RW 6009 landed at
Bohol-Panglao International Airport from Kunming City, China, carrying 181 passengers on board. The arriving passengers were welcomed by the Acting Airport Manager of BPIA, Mr. Anghelo B. Ibañez, some partner agencies, the local media, and other airline executives.
It is also noted that this would be the official resumption of the international operations of BPIA from Bohol to China and vice versa.
Royal Air Philippines celebrated this comeback as the Airport Rescue and Firefighting team welcomed the return of the plane with a traditional water cannon salute, marking the return of the flight and the international route.

This new China to Bohol route is an expansion and a milestone for Royal Air Philippines since its official commercial operations in 2018. Royal Air aims to expand its local and international network further, as the airline’s management says.
Royal Air Philippines operates a fleet of two Airbus A320-200 aircraft, and the airline operates domestic and international non-scheduled airline and cargo services. [2]
In addition to the airline’s significant step towards tourism, this new China-Bohol route is also found beneficial for businesses in the province, says Edgar M. Chatto, the Bohol First District Congressman.
Bohol has many manufacturing and export-oriented industries, and more flights such as these will further ease the import and export of businesses and industries.
Chatto added that the new international route with Bohol Panglao International Airport will boost tourism and trade. International routes like Royal Air Philippines are a big help connecting the Philippines to more destinations around Asia.
The Bohol Provincial Information Office also added that international flights strengthen Bohol’s effort to improve these services to ensure safe, convenient, and accessible travel.
Bohol is one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines, famous for its natural wonders, white-sand beaches, and tropical destinations.
