Tawsan Mangrove Forest Ecopark. This newly opened 74-hectare
ecological sanctuary celebrates the city’s dedication to preserving the environment, its rich natural resources, and the community’s rich fishing heritage.
Tawsan Mangrove Forest Ecopark promises a unique adventure amidst lush mangrove ecosystems and a vibrant community spirit. Beyond its ecological wonders, the park showcases 21 of the 74 mangrove species in the Philippines, including unique hybrids.
Visitors can rent or ride a kayak to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of this new Danao Eco-Park. Gliding through Tawsan Mangrove Forest Eco Park's tranquil waters provides a unique perspective of this ecological park’s rich diversity and peaceful environment.
Tawsan Mangrove Forest Ecopark is in its dry-run period, so entrance, ecological fee, and kayak rental and use are currently free. This ecological park is open from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the entrance is along the road right after Colegio de San Antonio de Padua if going North.
Booking at Tawsan Mangrove Forest Ecopark is required to ensure a seamless experience. The park accommodates a maximum of 20 guests per timeslot. Bookings can be made online through its dedicated registration form or by contacting the City Tourism Info Office at 0962 9152124 or 0915 9080064.
