Tumalog Falls, one of Oslob Cebu’s cherished natural attractions and tourist spots, has reopened after a puzzling dry spell since June. Tourists and locals can now once again marvel at its cascading beauty.
The disappearance of water at Tumalog Falls in Oslob Cebu earlier this year has puzzled both residents and tourists. Torrential rains failed to revive the water's flow, sparking speculation about a sinkhole potentially redirecting the water. This phenomenon also raised concerns over possible environmental disruptions, natural or man-made, that might have altered the water’s course.
With the reopening of this
hidden paradise in Cebu, the entrance fees will be PhP25 for children under 12 years old, PhP50 for adults and teens above 12 years old, and PhP20 for Oslob locals.
The Local Government Unit of Oslob investigated if a sinkhole or other phenomenon diverted the stream that usually feeds Tumalog Falls in Oslob, Cebu. The absence of water impacted the picturesque landscape and threatened the livelihoods of locals who depend on tourism and related activities.
Now that the Tumalog Falls in Oslob, Cebu, is flowing again, residents and local leaders hope the attraction will regain its prominence. Tourists are encouraged to visit and support the community as the town continues to monitor the environmental conditions surrounding the falls.
