Comic book fans are also in for a treat as this year’s Asia Pop Comic Con will be happening a month earlier than last year with the line up just as star-studded. In other news, brides-to-be also have two wedding expos to get inspiration from for their wedding day preparations. Feeling excited yet?


Philippine Business And Entrepreneurs Expo

The Asia Pop Comic Con started to delight comic book fans in September 2015.



It looks like July 27-29 will be an early Christmas gift for geeks as the Asia Pop Comic Con (APCC) is on full force with celebrity guests such as Finn Jones from Marvel’s Ironfist and HBO’s Game Of Thrones. As an addition to the already impressive guests, he will be joined by Tye Sheridan of X-Men Apocalypse and Ready Player One.

This three-day event is a treat for comic book fans who want to experience a spectacular comic con without leaving the Philippines. APCC won’t be a comic con without ushering skilled and well-known comic book artists and cosplayers.

APCC has brought several Hollywood celebrities in its previous years such as the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things, Paul Bettany, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Ray Fisher, Colton Hayes, and many others. Inspiring comic book artists can also showcase their talents as Marvel will scout talented Filipino storytellers who has what it takes to be on Marvel’s roster of world class artists.

How to get to SMX Convention Center: Ride the MRT-3 and get off at Taft Avenue station. Exit the station and ride a jeepney or shuttle heading to SM Mall of Asia. SMX Convention Center is just within the area.

How to get to Marriott Hotel: Ride the MRT-3 then get off at Taft Avenue Station. Head outside on the northbound side of the station then make a left turn into the passageway near McDonald’s. You can ride a Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal (NAIA) 3 loop shuttle commuter bus for PhP20. Get off at Resorts World Manila, The Marriott Hotel is within the area.

There’s more to South Korea than just your favorite boy bands, korean dramas, and K-pop. The country itself is rich with culture and brimming with exceptional products. There will be an exhibition of products and services from several Korean industries such as construction, food, cosmetics, information technology, and many others [2]. No guarantee that you will meet your oppa there, but you’ll go home appreciating the Korean culture beyond what’s behind the silver screen.

Tips for ticket purchasing and watching


  • Check the social media pages of the venue or event to see if there’s any available tickets
  • Only purchase tickets from official partners or official venue. - Doing so secures your safety from scammers and thieves.
  • Try asking the venue’s Facebook page about certain things you are curious about such as parking availability.
  • Early bird discounts means discounted ticket prices.
  • Always follow the rules and regulation of the venue as to what is acceptable and what is not.
  • There are events that do not allow children to enter. Better check if the venue permits children.
  • If you’re bringing kids, always keep an eye on them during the event.
  • To get the best parking spots, arrive at the venue early.
  • To arrive early, adjust your travel time by allowing an extra hour in case there’s a terrible traffic jam.
  • Keep your personal belongings close during the whole event.
