Besides Christmas, another occasion that kids are excited about is Halloween. During this time of the year, children get to live their fantasies by dressing up as their favorite characters. It doesn’t hurt that they also get overflowing candies and chocolates to eat!

For some families, this occasion is also a great time to bond, especially since there are Halloween activities and parties left and right. If you and your family are looking for Halloween events this 2019 where you can go trick-or-treating, read on! Listed below are the five most exciting Halloween events this 2019 in Metro Manila and the information you need to attend and enjoy them!


1. Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party at Active Fun

When:
October 24, 2019; 3:00 PM (Active Fun Power Plant Mall and Active Fun Shoppesville Greenhills)
October 25, 2019; 3:00 PM (Active Fun Bonifacio Global City
Where:
ActiveFun Power Plant Mall

Get your costumes ready for an afternoon filled with fun. Active Fun’s Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party lets your kids dress up in their scariest, prettiest, cutest, or funniest Halloween costumes. If you’re a competitive spirit, you can also step-up your costume so you can win the contest. Each pass gives access to the fun games, snacks, loot bags, and activities at the event.



Tip for good experience: Since the parties are scheduled on weekdays, don’t forget to file for a half-day or undertime leave at work!

How to get there:
Active Fun Shopville Greenhills: Walk to Robinsons Galleria then ride a jeep to San Juan. Get off at Greenhills Shopping Center. Shopville is the mall you’d immediately see at the drop off point. ActiveFun is located at the 3rd floor.

Active Fun Power Plant Mall: Ride the LRT-1 then get off at Pedro Gil Station. Ride a jeep bound for Guadalupe and get off at Plaza Drive Corner J.P Rizal. From here, Power Plant Mall can be reached after walking along Plaza Drive. Active Fun is located at the 3rd floor.



Active Fun Bonifacio Global City: Ride the MRT-3 to Ayala Station. Ride a BGC bus that will pass by either 28th or 9th avenue. Tell the driver to drop you off at the Active Fun building. It is in front of Honda.


2. Treats n’ More Treats Halo-Haloween Fiesta at Ramada Manila

When: October 26, 2019; 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Parade starts at 9:30 AM
Where: Ramada Manila Ongpin Cor. Quintin Paredes St., 1006 Manila

PhP1,300 for 1 adult and 1 kid

A Halo-Haloween Fiesta will start with a parade around Binondo, Manila.

Looking for a Halloween party with a different twist? Ramada Manila’s Treats n’ More Treats Halo-Haloween Fiesta combines the fun of Halloween with Filipino culture. The event features fun Filipino games, a parade, a delicious lunch buffet, halo-halo (Filipino mixed dessert with shaved ice) buffet, magic show, and more. Kids can come either in their most terrifying monster costume or even in baro’t saya (traditional Filipino blouse and skirt ensemble). Grand prizes will be up for grabs to those with the best costumes.

Tip for a good experience: If you’re participating at the parade, bring an umbrella and water to keep your kids protected and hydrated.



How to go to Ramada Manila: Ride the LRT-1 to Carriedo Station. Exit the station and turn left to Rizal Avenue. Walk past Sta. Cruz Church and turn left at Bustos. Walk for one block until you reach Ongpin Street. Ramada Hotel is near the Minor Basillica of St. Lorenzo Ruiz or Binondo Church.

Fun Ranch’s Boo-Time Halloween party is back for another year of exciting and spooky activities for kids of all ages. Adults can also join in the fun! The event will feature a magic show, games, a costume contest, and trick-or-treating. Each kiddie ticket also lets your kids enjoy unlimited play at the indoor playground, loot bags, and snacks. Meanwhile, adults get to have access to snacks and side activities.

Tip for a good experience: Each branch has a different schedule for their respective parties. Check the schedule to see which event fits your schedule best. Out of the metro? Boo-Time will also be held Fun Ranch Pampanga!



How to go to Fun Ranch:
Fun Ranch Alabang: Fun Ranch Alabang is located within Westgate Center. To go there, take a bus going to SM Southmall. At SM, ride a jeep going to Alabang then tell the driver to drop you off at Westgate Center.

Fun Ranch Ortigas: To get to the Ortigas branch, go to Shaw Boulevard. From there, ride a jeep bound for Ugong, Pasig. The jeep will pass by Tiendesitas. Ask the driver to drop you off at Fun Ranch. It is nearby CCF.


4. Handlebar’s Halloween Kids Party

When:
October 31, 2019
4:00PM to 7:00PM
Where:
Handlebar Bar and Grill 31 Polaris Street 1209 Manila
Tickets:
PhP150 per child
PhP250 for two or more
Free entry if dad buys a bucket of beer

Handlebar Bar and Grill will be having two Halloween parties this October: one for adults and one for the kids. The kids’ Halloween party is for children aged 2 to 12 year and it will feature a costume contest, face painting, games, and even a haunted house! Every kid in costume will also receive a gift. Free food and drinks will also be available at the event.



Tip for a good experience: The event specifies that nannies are not allowed at the event; consider this when planning to go. Also, children have to be out of the bar by 9:00 PM. Make sure to book by October 28.

How to go to Handlebar Bar and Grill: Ride the LRT-1 and alight at Gil Puyat Station. From the station, ride a jeep with a “Bel Air-Washington” sign. Ask the driver to drop you off at Bel-Air Village. As public transportation is limited from this point, take a taxi to Handlebar Bar and Grill.


5. Halloween Costume Party for a Cause by Manila Elks Lodge

When: October 25, 2019; 6:00 PM
Where: Manila Lodge 761, 7F Corinthian Plaza Bldg., Paseo de Roxas, 1229 Makati

PhP400 for kids 5 years old and below
PhP800 for advance purchase

This Halloween, why not party for a good cause? The Halloween Costume Party for a Cause is a fundraising event by Manila Elks Lodge that will benefit Philippine Cerebral Palsy Incorporated, a non-profit foundation dedicated to the treatment of cerebral palsy. You and your kids can help others while also participating in the event’s fun activities, which include a costume parade, games, and live entertainment!



Tip for a good experience: Purchase in advance if you want to save PhP100.

How to go to Corinthian Plaza: Ride the MRT-3 to Ayala Station. From the station, ride an Ayala Loop-bound bus and alight at the Corinthian Plaza. The event venue is on the 7th floor.
