Metro Manila will have sunny and rainy days this week. Meanwhile, those who take the LRT and MRT trains can expect no fare increase, although an increase in the cash issuance of the stored value card has taken effect last January 1. For tourists and locals who have recently been to China, the health bureau advises them to watch out for flu-like symptoms due to a developing unknown illness in the said country. Weather: Varied weather for the whole week
The weather will vary from sunny to rainy for the entire week in Metro Manila. Cloudy skies are also expected to take over during the day with temperature ranging from 30 °C to 33 °C. Nighttime skies will also be cloudy and consistently cold with temperature that ranges from 22 °C to 25 °C. To be prepared for the unpredictable weather, bring rain protection such as umbrella everywhere you go this week [1]. Traffic News: No fare hike among LRT and MRT trains amidst Beep card price increase
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRT-A) made it clear to the commuters that there will be no fare increase for LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 trains. Only the cash issuance fee for the stored value card or Beep cards had an increase, jumping from PhP20 to PhP30 last January 1 [2].
Travel Update: Tourists from China advised to watch out for flu-like symptoms
The Department of Health (DOH) advised tourists with a history of travel from China to monitor their health status as a mysterious illness has been detected in the said country. The unknown disease is yet to be named, but it includes symptoms like fever and difficulty in breathing. Those who suffer from these symptoms are advised to seek immediate medical consultation [3].
