Just like the other activities on this list, the amount of calories you burn depends on your weight and effort when singing. For instance, a person who weighs 150 pounds can burn 100 calories per hour while singing seated. Singing is also known to provide an effective abdominal breathing exercise.

6. Dancing

“Dancing is a low-impact aerobic activity that helps in boosting metabolism.

Back in 2017, a Korean dance craze called 'Weight-Loss Dance' went viral for being an effective fat-burning activity. In fact, it was found that the routine can help shave off as much as 22 pounds in just two weeks. Note though that the recommended rate of weight loss is 1 to 2 lbs per week, so don't go too dance-crazy! Instead, look for routines with easy-to-follow choreography and go dancing for 30 minutes a day, as moving for half an hour can already help with weight loss. For higher effectiveness, choose songs with fast tempos and choreography that require full-body movements.

7. Watching Comedy Shows
