Generations of Manileños have visited the Manila Zoo once in their lives. After all, Manila Zoo is one of the best tourist attractions for family bonding in Manila: it’s fun and educational! Kids and adults alike would love interacting with different animal species while also learning—there are many things to do. If you haven’t been to the Manila Zoo yet or plan to revisit, here’s good news: it will reopen to the public on December 30 with a newly-improved look. However, tickets may have to be booked in advance as part of the zoo management's COVID-19 protocol.

Last December 22, a sneak peek of the soon-to-open and improved Manila Zoo was shared by the Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso on his Facebook account. The newly makeover version of the Manila Zoo includes world-class modern facilities that are brightly lit, especially during the night. At the entrance, life-size statues of various animals like elephants are on display, making it one of Manila’s most photogenic tourist attractions!
