Celebrate Christmas in Taguig with bright and colorful lights, interactive tours, and activities, and eat delicious food with your family, friends, and loved ones at Christmas by the Lake Taguig.

It is the most beautiful time of the year as Taguig opens Christmas by the Lake—the city’s newest Christmas-themed family-friendly outdoor attraction, years since the pandemic. It claims to be the most prominent light park in the country and features different attractions and activities perfect for the whole family. Entrance is free at these attractions; however, the local government of Taguig still reminds everyone to follow health and safety protocols.

Here are some of Christmas by the Lake Taguig’s attractions and activities where you can enjoy beautiful shows, good food, and take Instagram-worthy photos.

Feed your eyes with colorful lights as you enter The Light of CHRISTmas gives a glimpse of what’s inside- colorful and bright lights.

The Lights of CHRISTmas features different exhibits in three parts; Lights of the City, Heart of Christmas, and Spirit of Christmas. The Lights of the City symbolize how Taguig, which they call probinsyudad celebrates the season and showcases the city’s history, culture, and growth. Heart of Christmas depicts the tradition and true meaning of the season—the birth of Jesus Christ. Lastly, the Spirit of Christmas shows the joyfulness of Taguigeño families.

Touring this Christmas attraction in Taguig is two options: a train ride or a walk.

You may also watch Aqua Luna Lights and Sounds show, which features laser and beam animations synchronized to the sound effects, and Sinagtala—an aerial light show.

Gates are open at 5:00 PM, and admissions are free at The Lights of CHRISTmas park; however, prior booking is required due to the expected high volume of visitors daily.

After taking a tour of the Lights of CHRISTmas Park, fill your guts with good food and company at the TLC Food Park Mercado x Mercato. There are various food choices, from classic Filipino cuisines such as ihaw ihaw to Asian ones such as tteokbokki and takoyaki.

As Christmas draws near, you may also get the chance to watch more local artists perform at night.

Admissions are also free of charge, and gates are open at 2:00 PM daily.

Visiting this Christmas village in Taguig isn’t complete without dining, enjoying the view, and taking aesthetic pictures at the Mercado del Lago Floating Village. At this Christmas attraction in Taguig, be in one of the eight floating kubos (nipa huts) to experience extraordinary dining with a scenic view of Laguna Lake.

You may also take photos with the iconic life-size statue of Santa Claus sitting on a bench or at the bright and charming pathway of the place.

Mercado del Lago Floating Village opens at 4:00 PM every day.


How to get to Christmas by the Lake

You can get to this Christmas village in Taguig via public transport.

The 6-hectare Christmas by the Lake Taguig is beside the C6 Road and Laguna Lake Highway. Here’s how you can get to these attractions:

● When using private vehicles, you may pin TLC Park Christmas by the Lake Taguig on Google Maps and Waze. Parking areas are free of charge and can be found beside the Lights of CHRISTmas park and in front of Mercado del Lago Floating Village.

● Via public transportation, you may take buses going to Starmall Alabang and ask the driver to drop you off at SM Bicutan, walk thru the tricycle terminal in front of the DOST Bicutan, and get off at Taguig People’s Market, from there, you can see the Mercado del Lago Floating Village.

● You may also take the MRT-3 or LRT-1 and get off at Taft Station or EDSA Station; find your way to the jeepney stops and ride the ones with Bicutan DOST, SM Bicutan, or Alabang via PAE signboards; get off at DOST Bicutan, SM Bicutan, or PAE and walk thru the tricycle terminal in front of the DOST Bicutan, and get off at Taguig People’s Market; from there, you can see the Mercado del Lago Floating Village.

● If you’re coming from Pasig or Pateros, take a jeepney going to Bicutan and/or Bagumbayan and get off at 7/11 Bicutan or Taguig People’s Market; from there, you can see the Mercado del Lago Floating Village; you may also get off at Petron Lower Bicutan and walk your way behind the said establishment; from there, you can see the Lights of CHRISTmas park.

The Christmas by the Lake Taguig will run until January 15, 2023.
