Here Are the Alternative Bus Routes Following the Philippine National Railway Suspension on March 28

The Philippine National Railways has announced that it will temporarily suspend the Governor Pascual-Tutuban and Tutuban-Alabang train operations starting from March 28, 2024. This halt is necessary to facilitate the North-South Commuter Railway construction project in Metro Manila.

According to the Philippine National Railways, the temporary suspension of Philippine National Railways services is to ensure the safety of passengers during the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway, which will take at least five years. This measure has been brought to avoid any potential risks and hazards arising from the ongoing construction activities.

To assist commuters affected by the suspension of the Philippine National Railways, the Department of Transportation and the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board have collaborated to arrange alternative bus routes. Passengers traveling to and from Tutuban and Alabang will be dropped off and picked up near the current Philippine National Railways route. This measure aims to ensure that commuters will continue to have access to reliable transportation options during the Philippine National Railways suspension period.

The buses heading towards the south will traverse several prominent locations: Divisoria (Tutuban), Mayhaligue Street, Abad Santos Avenue, Recto Avenue, Legarda Street, Quirino Avenue, Osmeña Highway, Nichols Entry, SLEX, Bicutan Exit, Bicutan Entry, and Alabang (Starmall). The bus trips on the Tutuban-Alabang (Southbound) route will start at 7:30 AM, 9:10 AM, 3:00 PM, 3:20 PM, 7:30 PM, and 9:00 PM.

Meanwhile, the buses heading towards the north will pass through Alabang (Starmall), Manila South Road, East Service Road, Alabang (Entry), SLEX, Bicutan Exit, Bicutan Entry, Nichols Exit, Osmeña Highway, Quirino Avenue, Legarda Street, Recto Avenue, Abad Santos Avenue, Mayhaligue Street, and Divisoria (Tutuban). The bus trips on the Alabang-Tutubahazan (Northbound) route will start at 5:00 AM, 6:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:45 AM, 5:00 PM, and 6:10 PM.
