While the pandemic caused the restaurant to temporarily close, this did not stop them from serving their customers. Sakura offered pick-up, take-out, and delivery services during the quarantine. Now that the province of Subic is placed under modified general community quarantine, the Japanese resto has finally reopened and is now accepting dine-in services as well. To ensure its guests’ safety and protection, the restaurant put in new guidelines that must strictly be observed both by employees and customers alike. A Japanese Resto Loved By Locals
Even after twenty years, Sakura Restaurant remains at the top of the list of locals when it comes to places where you can enjoy authentic Japanese delicacies. The place’s menu is full of specialties that the Land of the Rising Sun is known for, from mouth-watering seafood to flavorful noodle bowls.
Sakura Restaurant also takes pride in its kaisen teppanyaki, a prawn platter with lapu-lapu (groupers), squid, and shiitake mushrooms. They also serve up delectable maki rolls, udon (thick, wheat-flour noodles) bowls, ramen, salmon sashimi, and bento meals. No matter what you choose to order, Sakura Restaurant is sure to satisfy all your Japanese food cravings in one go.
Safety Precautions in the Restaurant
Sakura Restaurant reopened last June 16, 2020 and its doors are open from Monday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Putting the safety of their guests and workers first, the resto has implemented strict protocols mandated by the government.
• Only 30% of its capacity may be accommodated for dine-in services.
• All guests, regardless of the service that they will avail, must undergo temperature screening upon entering the place.
• A distance of 1 meter must be observed between customers and all are required to wear protective gears like face masks and gloves.
• Everyone must sanitize their hands upon entry and exit. Customers must also sign health declaration forms while waiting for their orders.
• Children are strictly not allowed inside the restaurant and are advised to stay at home.
