SBMA released Alert Level 1 and curfew guidelines

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) released guidelines and restrictions as the area transitioned to Alert Level 1. According to their Facebook post and advisory, Olongapo and Bataan will be under Alert Level 1 until March 15 [1] with curfew hours from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM. The curfew hours will remain effective until March 15.

Aside from the curfew hours, the guidelines indicate few protocols and restrictions like continuous wearing of face masks in private and public establishments at all times except when eating and drinking. Guidelines also indicated protocols for transportation and business establishments.

Face-to-face classes start in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

Various schools in Mabalacat resume face-to-face classes from elementary to college [2]. Guidelines and restrictions for face-to-face classes include physical distancing, bringing light snacks, and no sharing of food among students [3]. Physical face-to-face classes will only apply to college students who need examination, skill demonstration, laboratory, and the like [4].

Travel Updates: Philippines’ first Swissotel opened in Clark in time for summer.

A new hotel opened in Clark last March 1, 2022, where guests can stay for summer: Swissotel Clark. The new hotel aims to boost tourism in Clark—especially now that restrictions are loose, curfew hours are shorter, and travel guidelines are set for local and foreign tourists with complete vaccination [5]. The hotel is located within the Clark Freeport Zone and is an hour’s drive from Metro Manila—which is also under Alert Level 1.

Health News: Pampanga launched drive-thru vaccination for kids aged five to 11

A drive-thru vaccination for kids five to 11 was opened in the Mexico isolation facility last March 3 to make vaccination easier for children in the area. The vaccination site is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the first, second, and the booster dose. Sundays are for pediatric vaccination of five to 11 years old. Appointments are booked through 0977 7244719.

The drive-thru vaccination site was a project by the Pampanga government [6]. The vaccination facility is adorned with food carts, treats, cartoon characters, and festive music to keep the kids entertained after their vaccination. Restrictions and health protocol guidelines are also in place during the entire vaccination, like wearing face masks and proper physical distancing.
