Tagaytay City adheres to the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force for tourism. Below are the following requirements and other important information that you need to know before planning your vacation to the city:
1. Tourists coming from MGCQ areas do not need travel authority. Travel authority is only mandatory from guests coming from GCQ, MECQ, and ECQ areas.
2. Tourists may enter Tagaytay via Ayala Greenfields and Santa Rosa road.
3. All guests must comply with Tagaytay’s strict safety protocols:
• Wearing of face mask and face shield
• Social distancing
• Regular hand sanitation
• For public transport, a strict “no face mask and face shield, no ride” policy is implemented.
• Private vehicles will be allowed, as long as physical distancing inside the vehicle is observed.
4. For travelers coming from GCQ, MECQ, and ECQ areas, the following requirements are needed:
• Travel authority pass
• Medical clearance certificate that shows guest is negative from COVID-19
5. Guests may only book accommodation establishments that are DOT-accredited.
6. For dining protocols, restaurants and food establishments in Tagaytay are subject to IATF guidelines. Both guests and employees must follow safety protocols including wearing a face mask and face shield, social distancing, and regular sanitizing of hands.
7. When visiting tourist attractions, wearing of face masks and shields and social distancing must continuously be observed.
