Known as the “Central Business District of Metro Manila,” Makati has no shortage of high-rise buildings, chic restaurants and shops, busy pedestrians mingling with bustling traffic, and local headquarters of both local and international companies. And since everything is just within reach, many of the people who work in Makati also opt to reside in it for convenience and ease.
But living in Makati can be expensive, and most of its residents might already be stretching their budgets just to keep their heads above water. With luxurious condominium units standing left and right, rent prices can prove a challenge for aspiring residents. The average price of for sale condos is around PhP14 million, the highest in the country. Fortunately, Makati does have its share of reasonably priced condo units that are worth checking out:
1. My Dian Suites
Address:1720 Dian Street, Buendia Avenue, Makati City

My Dian Suites is a short-term rental condominium for those who may not be ready yet to commit to one place right away. There are four room types to choose from: the Standard Suite for PhP1,698 a night, the Business Suite also for PhP1,698 a night, the Twin Room for PhP1,998 a night, and the Executive Suite also for PhP1,998 a night. All units are inclusive of a kitchen, private toilets and baths, air-conditioning, double-sized beds, and a bedroom cabinet.
3. The Columns at Legazpi Village

Drawing inspiration for its design from The Columns at Ayala Land, The Columns at Legazpi Village is also in the vicinity of many key locations. The two-tower complex houses 800 rooms with room options ranging from a studio unit measuring 30 to 33 square meters, to a junior one-bedroom suite measuring 38 to 40 square meters, to a one-bedroom suite measuring about 47 square meters, and a two-bedroom suite measuring 67 to 77 square meters.
The rent for the studio unit goes for about PhP27,000 a month, while the one-bedroom suite goes for about PhP65,000 a month, and the two-bedroom suite is for about PhP80,000 a month. Tenants also get to enjoy the complex’s amenities such as a swimming pool, a game room, 24-hour security, and its own jogging path.
4. Jazz Residences

Just a short distance away from Gil Puyat Avenue, Jazz Residences is a 46-storey building that promises first-class amenities at more affordable prices. The complex boasts of having a lifestyle commercial area and an SM Hypermarket branch at its ground floor.
Their 24.4-square meter one-bedroom units are equipped with a balcony and can be rented for PhP19,000 a month, while their 54-square meter two-bedroom and two baths unit with balcony can be rented for PhP55,000 a month. . All renting tenants are obliged to secure payment of one month advance and two months deposit, and are put under a one-year contract. Other amenities of the complex include six swimming pools, a gym and spa, and a jogging path.

Fort Dow Place is also just one jeepney or bus ride away from Ortigas and Cubao.

Strategically located just across BGC Fort Bonifacio, Fort Dow Place is just a few minutes away from EDSA, Kalayaan Avenue, MRT-3 Buendia Station, and Rockwell Mall. It is also near St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City, Grand Hyatt Hotel, and Lexus Manila. One-bedroom units with kitchen and toilet are available for rent at PhP11,000 a month with a minimum one-year contract and amenities included are 24/7 security, Wi-Fi connection, and elevator in the building.
Living in Makati may be a challenge for young professionals to be as savings-savvy as they can be, but with these reasonably priced condominiums, budget for rent can at least be one thing to worry less about.
