There’s only one word to describe summer in the Philippines: hot. Summer is a time of war, and our enemy is the heat. Filipinos are no stranger to this weather, so we have many ways to fight it. Air conditioners are set to their max setting. Halo-halo (shaved ice dessert with purple yam, coconut strips, tapioca, sliced bananas, and other fruits) and other cold treats are eaten daily. The more extravagant go out of the country to escape the temperature. However, one of the tried and tested ways of combating the heat is heading to the beach.

Good thing there are various resorts in Bacolod City where you can chill and enjoy a day under the sun! Check out the six best resorts in Bacolod, where you can indulge and forget how hot it is.
