The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has now confirmed that the streetlights system at the Circumferential Road of Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road will be upgraded in 2020 [2]. According to Bacolod City District Engineer Abraham Villareal, some of the streetlights in the area haven’t been operational since the wirings were stolen. To ensure the safety of the motorists, Villareal revealed that they will install solar-powered light-emitting diode streetlights in the area. A total of PhP40 million was requested by DPWH for the project.
