The local government units (LGUs) in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental implemented an online travel system for inbound and outbound travelers in the city and province. Instead of a travel moratorium, travelers need to register to
S-PaSS Travel Management System.
S-paSS, Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage, is a one-stop online communication and coordination platform for travelers and LGUs.
Inbound travelers to Bacolod City and Negros Occidental need to register online using their contact number at
https://s-pass.ph before traveling. Following the completion of registration, they should secure a digital or printed copy of the approved travel coordination permit and present it to the LGU’s checkpoint areas.
Through the S-PaSS, LGUs can determine if they have available rooms in the quarantine facility. However, if the LGU does not have enough quarantine rooms for inbound travelers, they can deny their entry to the province. Also, LGUs can effectively monitor and manage the incoming travelers by verifying travel documents presented by travelers through S-paSS.
