Sipaway Island is a long, narrow, 7-km island called Refugio or Sipaway to locals. It is a 10- to 15-minute boat ride from San Carlos City and less than three hours from the Bacolod-Silay International Airport. This island in Negros boasts white sand beaches comparable to those of Guimaras Island. Although the sand is not as powdery as Boracay's, it is still stunning and unspoiled. Its natural resources are abundant; you can taste fresh, healthy, straight-from-the-catch marine delicacies.

Sipaway Island is a rural area that needs more specific modern amenities. Despite being established only recently through San Carlos City, the island now enjoys a reliable 24-hour electricity supply, making it more convenient for locals and tourists to live and stay there. With its untouched and simple beauty, the island is a serene escape from busy city life.

Still, Sipaway Island offers a range of resorts, but Whispering Palms Island Resort is your best bet for modern amenities. With access to electric power, you'll enjoy all the comforts of home. Room rates are reasonable, ranging from PhP2,200 to PhP5,500. However, if you're on a tight budget, smaller resorts offer non-aircon rooms for two at an affordable price of less than PhP1,000. A tip is to bring extra cash because some smaller resorts don’t accept cards or online payments.
