Beachfront establishments still have windbreakers made of clear plastic or white screen on a bamboo pole. These windbreakers serve as protection from the sand brought by the strong winds at White Beach.

It will however be less gloomy this week in the island with a temperature ranging from 28°C to 32°C throughout the week. Intervals of cloudy and sunny weather will be experienced in the day while showers and thunderstorms are to be expected at night.

SIGHTSEEING TIPS

Due to the habagat, some water activities like island hopping are suspended if the weather turns too bad. This has caused prices to drop from the regular rate of PhP800 per person down to PhP500 per person.

On the other hand, banana boat riding, fly fishing, and jet-ski riding are now held at Bulabog Beach since the water is calmer on the other side of the island.
