Denny’s has come a long way since Harold Butler and Richard Jezak first opened their donut stand way back in 1953. After opening its first branch in the Philippines in 2016, the restaurant chain has set its sights on the Queen City of the South. And last May 12, 2018, it finally opened in Cebu, which is also its first branch outside Metro Manila.
The American diner-style restaurant offers a good combination of American and Filipino dishes, including the Philly Cheesesteak Omelette, All-American Slam, Beef Tapa, and Crispy Bangus Belly. Food menu prices start at PhP125.

Ajito Dining Bar is a cozy Japanese restaurant located in the heart of uptown Cebu. Ajito is a Japanese term that means “secret place.” The restaurant is managed by Go Morita, a native of Osaka, who wanted to share the fun dining practices from his hometown.
The main offering at Ajito Dining Bar is their do-it-yourself takoyaki (ball-shaped Japanese snack). While the takoyaki is normally filled with minced octopus, other ingredients like chicken, spam, and cheese can also be used for the filling. Food items at the restaurant start at PhP130.
3. Café 1030

Café 1030 is a quaint little café located close to a local university in Talamban, Cebu.

Cebuanos have taken to the coffee culture like fish to water, and this is evident in the number of coffee shops all over the city. One newly-opened coffee shop that has been attracting attention is Café 1030. Most of the customers of this quaint, little café are students from a nearby local university.
Similar to other coffee shops in the city, Café 1030 also offers a good selection of coffee and tea. In addition, they also offer cookies and cakes that go well with a hot cup of joe.

Pen Café & Bistro is a New York Subway-inspired restaurant located close to the business district of the city. Featuring a wide variety of Western and Filipino dishes, this two-level restaurant offers huge American-size servings for all the 52 dishes on their menu.
Some of the bestsellers are the Cilantro Lime Salad, Shawie’s Vegetarian Pasta, and Pen Garlic BBQ Ribs. Prices of the food items start at PhP210.
5. Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant

Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant already has a good following among Cebuanos who always look for the best value for their money.

Originally from Cagayan de Oro City, Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant has already made a name for itself in the food landscape of Cebu. While it already has two branches located in two major malls in the city, the restaurant chain has expanded its reach and opened a third location at the heart of the business district of Cebu.
Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant is known for offering American-size servings. Their bestsellers include the Rack-A-Bye Baby, Scuba Melt, and the Belly Buster. Food menu prices start at PhP105.
