steakhouses Cebu

Nothing fills a hungry stomach more than a mouthwatering steak that is cooked to perfection.

Grill marks, a seared crust, and glistening bright pink meat are among the descriptions you will hear when you listen to a meat-loving steak person describe his favorite dish. While Cebu is famous for its lechon (roasted suckling pig), this little island in the middle of the archipelago actually has a lot more to offer. One of these offerings is steak. Believe it or not, there is a fair share of steakhouses in Cebu that could rival the best of the best in Metro Manila.

To make your search easier, we came up with a list of places where you can let your carnivorous instincts go wild. Check out this list of five steakhouses in Cebu.

1. Acacia Steakhouse

Where: Acacia Street, Green Valley Subdivision, Cebu City
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Looking for a cozy place to enjoy a big, juicy steak? Acacia Steakhouse may be what you are looking for. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the ambiance of the place lets you focus on what you went there for: their steaks. While most steakhouses put the spotlight on prime cuts, non-prime or secondary cuts are the center of attention at Acacia Steakhouse. This, however, does not mean the place does not offer prime cuts since they do offer these luxurious slabs of heavenly meat. But secondary cuts are both affordable and offer more versatility when they are cooked. Among the popular steak choices at the place are the Butcher’s Steak and the Black Pepper Steak. Their premium steak options include the Australian Grass-Fed Rib Eye and Prime Rib Eye. Acacia Steakhouse also offers other dishes aside from steaks, including steamed Chilean mussels and Chorizo squid.

How to get there: From Ayala Center Cebu, take a taxi to Acacia Street in Green Valley Subdivision. A large acacia tree stands right outside the restaurant.

July 2020 Update: Acacia Steakhouse has resumed operations.

2. Grillers Steak House

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM; 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Recommended budget for two: PhP900
