Direct flights from Taipei,
Taiwan, to Puerto Princesa are set to resume in March, marking an exciting development for travelers looking to explore this beautiful island's pristine beaches and lush landscapes.
This announcement of
direct flights from Taipei is a welcome relief for those eager to visit Palawan, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, known for its stunning natural beauty and rich marine life.
According to Demetrio Alvior, the City Tourism Department or CTD Chief, passengers with flights from Taipei will travel to Puerto Princesa through Royal Air Philippines as per a notice issued last February 6.
Royal Air Philippines is a Philippine-registered budget airline, replacing Tiger Air in catering to passengers bound for Puerto Princesa and those with Taipei direct flights. The airline also offers flights and services to other international destinations such as Macau, Hong Kong, South Korea, Cambodia, and China.
The flight schedules include March 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th, 24th, and 28th, operating on RW917 (TPE-PPS) and RW918 (PPS-TPE). [1]
The resumption of direct flights from Taipei, Taiwan, to Puerto Princesa, is expected to be a boon for both countries' tourism industries. Taiwan and the Philippines have long enjoyed close ties, and the reinstatement of this route will only strengthen these connections. With travel restrictions starting to ease as the world recovers from the past year’s pandemic, many tourists are eager to explore international destinations again, making this news all the more exciting.
