Taza Mia Coffee is a fast-growing homegrown coffee shop chain in Southern Luzon, which first opened in Batangas back in 2011. It now has more than 10 branches around the region, including Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna. One of its newest branches opened in Lipa City last December 2017. It features a spacious and cozy coffee place with lots of comfy couches where you can enjoy both local and internationally inspired coffee paired with delicious food.

Some of their best-selling coffees are Barako coffee and the bittersweet Cafe Italiano. They have at least 40 coffee beverages to choose from, from hot and cold drinks to coffee frappes. Taza Mia also has a variety of food choices, such as all-day breakfast and rice meals, pasta, and sandwiches. For breakfast lovers, one of their best-sellers is their beef tapa (cured meat) with egg. It used to be difficult whenever locals crave for pad thai or tom yum in Batangas because Thai restaurants in the area are scarce—until now. Go Thai Bistro is said to be the first and only authentic Thai restaurant in Lipa City. Opened just last November 2017, the place brings the fragrant and spicy goodness of Thai food closer to the people of Lipa. The ambiance is quite simple and unassuming but comfortable, which makes it easy to shift all of your focus solely on their food.

All of Thailand's most iconic dishes, like pad thai, tom yum, red curry, and mango sticky rice, are present on the menu. While Thai cuisine is known for spicy dishes, Go Thai Bistro lets you adjust the level of spiciness to your liking; whether you like it mild, medium, or spicy, Go Thai Bistro can cook it your way. These dishes are best enjoyed with a glass of their Thai milk tea. A budget of PhP350 can already let you enjoy one main dish, dessert, and a drink.

Bites might be a familiar name to people from the South. First established in Muntinlupa, this chicken wing joint has conquered other parts of southern Metro Manila and Luzon, with the newest branch opened in Lipa City just this March. The place has a casual and laid-back vibe, and you might find a lot of students on school days as it is near De La Salle Lipa.

Their most popular offer is their unlimited wings. For just PhP289, you can chow down on their unlimited wings with bottomless iced tea. You can also enjoy unlimited wings without iced tea for PhP210. To make your wings-eating experience more exciting, they also have 12 different sauces to choose from. The most recommended ones are parmigiano, honey barbecue, and teriyaki, and if you think you can handle it, you can also dip their wings in their spiciest sauce, the blazing hot.

G-Boys Restaurant is a new eatery which opened in January of this year. It offers unique Batangas delicacies in the quaint town of Cuenca, which is just 30 minutes from Lipa City. Made of bamboo and surrounded by trees, this restaurant exudes a refreshing barrio style.

It's a good place to enjoy a bowl of heartwarming "goto mami," perhaps the most popular dish Batangas is known for. Their goto mami is a fusion of the famous Batangas-style goto, a strong-flavored soup made with beef tripes and innards, and mami (noodle soup). For only PhP55, you can taste the robust flavors of Batangas goto combined with the firm and bouncy egg noodles of mami.

They also have other must-try dishes that are not normally found in the city, like kalderetang kambing (tomato-based goat stew), kilawing kambing (goat meat in vinegar marinade) and champeni (sautéed goat innards). PhP200 per person can already go a long way in this restaurant.

5. Señor Churros

Location: Ciudad Food Avenue, Diversion Road, Batangas City

Señor Churros is the newest snack shop to enter Ciudad Food Avenue in Batangas City. It can either be your last stop for dessert after eating a heavy meal at other food stalls, or your first stop for some sweet appetizing snacks. They take pride in their freshly made churros, which means the dough they use is made from scratch every day, making each batch of churros they cook turn into delicious, firm, and crunchy bites.

Their churros are also reasonably priced. You can get five pieces for PhP95 or eight pieces for PhP145. You can choose between strawberry and chocolate for your dip. Knowing that churros are perfect when paired with hot chocolate, they also have hot cocoa mallows on their menu. Chocolate chips and marshmallows are served separately with a hot glass of milk, so you can have fun creating your own drink.
