Events and live shows have always been a primary source of entertainment for Negrenses. Negros Occidental is known for great performers like Kuh Ledesma, Joel Torre, Allan K, Bobby Enriquez and many more. Their craft has been developed by events that are always alive in the province. This month, ShoppersGuide gives you the list of anticipated events you can watch if ever you find yourself in the Land of Sweet Surprises.
1. Ikaw Na ! 888 Hip-hop Dance Competition 2018 Auditions
When: July 7 & 14; 4:00 PM

Ikaw Na! 888 Hip-hop Dance Competition is an annual contest organized by 888 Chinatown Premiere Mall. Now on its season 3, they are looking for five dance troupes each for the school and open categories. Audition dates will be on July 7 and 14, 4:00 PM at the mall’s event There are so many local talents in town and you will be surprised on how big the hip hop community in the City of Smiles.
2. Dress Up to Paws Up
When: July 22; 1:00 PM
Where: SM City Bacolod

Love dogs? Watch cute doggies strut the runway with their colorful costumes this July. Dress Up to Paws Up is an event celebrating Pawsitivo’s first year anniversary on July 22 at SM City Bacolod. The runway will start at 1:00 PM, a perfect show to watch after grabbing lunch inside the mall. If you are planning to join the fashion show, entry registration is at PhP250. The admission is free.
3. BLACKOUT’S 9TH ANNIVERSARY DENIM RUNWAY
When: July 28; 3:00 pm
Where: SM City Bacolod Event Center, Bacolod City

From the runway to the streets, denim was everywhere this season. And what’s even more fun and exciting is that it is the theme for the 9th anniversary of Blackout Models. Blackout Modeling Agency and Management will showcase their freshest faces to the public on July 28, 3:00 PM at SM City Bacolod Event Center. If you are into fashion or obsessively love denims then this event is worth to check out.

Musika para sa Pagbabago (Music for Change). This is the living mantra of this concert for a cause entitled Rakrakan at Raprapan. From the name of the show itself, you will already determine that it is a rock and rap concert. This event that will be on July 1, 6:00 PM at Cadiz City Arena and will feature different artists from the underground rap and rock scenes like the Grin Department, Smugglaz, Flick G, Abaddon and DJ Mandy Mack. 5. Trivia and Poetry Night
When: July 1; 5:00 PM
Where: Confiteria Dulce, Sagay City
