If you plan to enjoy and make the most out of your time this month, you might want to check out these upcoming events in Bacolod this June 2019. A variety of interesting happenings are in store for you: Kpop fan gatherings, a famous OPM band concert, and even a spiritual encounter will all take place in the City of Smiles! Mariapolis, which means “City of Mary,” is a gathering hosted by the Focolare Movement of Dumaguete, a global Catholic movement. In this event, Focolare members, as well as friends and people from all social backgrounds and nationalities, gather and unite in brotherhood. Through this multi-day affair, people can discover how to contribute to a more unified world.

Tips: There would be teambuilding games and a time to explore the resort, so make sure to bring appropriate swimwear.



How to get there: Take a Mambukal bus to the resort, which is its final destination. You can find the bus terminal in Libertad Market.


2. Armys With Luv

When: June 8, 2019; 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Where: Baldevia Pension House Bacolod, San Sebastian, Bacolod City

Army North Negros, an organization of BTS fans, will be having a wedding-themed gathering to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the seven-member South Korean boy band. Since the debut of the band on June 13, 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, they’ve reached the hearts of listeners through their music and slick dance routines. For this gathering, Army North Negros will host games, raffles, and activities that let other ARMYs get to know each other.

Tips: Since the event is wedding themed, girls Amry’s should wear a white dress or something with white. Fanboys can wear any attire but must have a white color. The best dressed attendee will receive a special gift from the organizers!



How to get there: From Lacson Street, take a Bata-Libertad jeepney going downtown. Ask to be dropped off in front of Belle’s Hotel. The Pension house is at the back of Enzee’s Mini Mart.


3. Army in Disguise

When: June 15, 2019
Where: Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Gym

BTS’ Love Yourself series encourages the fans to love others, but in order to do that, they must first love themselves.

BTS is also known for its campaigns and lyric messages that help people with depression and anxiety. In celebration of its 6th anniversary, another fan group created a charity event: Army in Disguise. This event focuses on revealing one’s true self and accepting one’s flaws. The event will not only have raffles, music, and games, but it will also be filled with mystery, love, and fun. A portion of the sales from this event will be given to a chosen foundation by the organizer.

Tips: Everyone is required to wear a mask and casual attire. Look your best by matching your mask with your attire.



How to get there: Coming from the North terminal, ride a Bata-Libertad jeepney. If you’re coming from the south area like Libertad or Downtown, take a Mandalagan-Libertad jeepney. Ask to be dropped off on the street where the Provincial Administration Center is. You will see the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Gym in front of it.


4. Ben&Ben Limasawa Street Album Tour

When: June 15, 2019
Where: Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Activity Center

Cry, fall in love, sing, and dance with your friends during their performance!

Want to sing your heart out again? Ben&Ben is coming back to Bacolod give you experiences both on kilig (romantic thrill) and kasawian (heartache). The folk-pop band recently released their debut album called “Limasawa Street,” named after the street where the girlfriend of Paolo, the band’s acoustic guitarist and vocalist, lives. “Limasawa” means “light” in Butuanon. In line with their album launch, Ben&Ben partnered with Ayala Malls to capture the hearts of their listeners with their heart-warming and life-giving music.

Tips: You can get a ticket if you purchase one Ayala Malls Cinema gift card worth PhP500 from the cinema ticket booth.



How to get there: Take a Mandalagan-Libertad jeepney if you’re coming from the Downtown. On the other hand, if you’re coming from the north, take a Bata-Libertad jeepney. Both public utility vehicles pass by the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
