The City of Love opens up the holiday season with brightly lit Christmas lights at the 72-hectare township located at the Iloilo Business Park, with over 1.5 million lights launched simultaneously.
Focusing on Ilonggo arts and culture as the theme for this holiday season’s launching of
Christmas lights up in Iloilo Business Park, Iloilo’s Christmas festivities are also set to be centered at the park’s lifestyle center—Festive Walk Iloilo.
Festive Walk Iloilo recently hosted the official lighting ceremony, tagged as the Kasadyahan sa Festive Walk Iloilo. The park will also feature three new Christmas attractions—Dagway sang Paglaum: The Face of Hope or the Cradle of Bloom, The Cathedral of Candles or Saad, and the Bugana: Northern Abundance Exhibit.
With the Christmas lights up in Iloilo Business Park, there will be three new main attractions at Festive Walk Iloilo Mall featuring different displays anchored with symbolism.
Dagway sang Paglaum, or The Face of Hope or the Cradle of Bloom, features life-sized flower displays depicting the resilience of Ilonggos. The giant flower installations can be found at all mall entrances.
Saad: The Vow or The Cathedral of Candles is a Christmas display inspired by the
Jaro Cathedral in Iloilo, symbolizing thanksgiving and devotion, which can be found at the bridge link on the third floor of the Festive Walk
Iloilo Mall. And last among the main Christmas attractions is the
Bugana: Northern Abundance Exhibit, which signifies abundance. This display at the Mall Atrium shall highlight products and items incorporated with Visayan wild animals like the Civet Cat or
Singgarong and Wild Warty Pigs. Various fish species are also featured.
Visitors can visit other attractions at the
Iloilo Business Park with Christmas displays, lights, and installations within the township: 1.1km Festive Walk Parade,
Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, office buildings such as One Techno Place, Two Techno Place, Three Techno Place, One Fintech Place, and Two Fintech Place, at the Casa Emperador, Iloilo Business Park Showroom, at residential buildings namely at One Madison Place,
Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, and the entire stretch of Megaworld Boulevard. [1]
Featuring Local Artistry, Exhibits, and a Trade Fair for this Christmas in Iloilo
Festive Walk Iloilo has always collaborated with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry or PCCI-Iloilo Chapter. The ‘most beautiful mall’ in Iloilo will also host the PCCI-Fresh Finds Fair this year. The fair highlights various products from Ilonggo micro, small, and medium enterprises. The fair will also feature products sold by local entrepreneurs and will be available from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on December 8 to 11 at the Megaworld Park Square, Festive Walk Parade.
Also, in partnership with the City of Iloilo and the Iloilo Arts Festival Organization, an Iloilo Art Pop-Up Studio highlights the works of 180 visual artists. This event allows artists to showcase their works of art for the public to see and hopefully boost their careers. The art display will be at the Iloilo Business Park until January 30, 2023.
Christmas in Iloilo has more events in store at Iloilo Business Park. The first Korean-themed destination found in Iloilo City will hold the K-Town Year End Party to enjoy the Ilonggo-Korean community at the Festive Walk Parade. This event is in collaboration with the Iloilo Korean Association, where visitors can expect dance contests, live performances, and a wide array of delicious Korean dishes.
Guests, tourists, and visitors can bring their kids to see Santa Claus and interact with him in a Santa Meet and Greet Event with other Christmas mascots. This event will be held sometime this December. The latest updates will be on the official Festive Walk Iloilo Facebook Page and Instagram account or the official website of Megaworld at www.megaworld-lifestylemalls.com.
