Are you looking for a place in Cebu to buy flowers for your dear ones on Valentine’s Day? Here are some of the most reliable flower markets in Cebu City that we have compiled for you. Enjoy!

Freedom Park Market

Address: Magallanes St., corner Escaño St., Freedom Park, Brgy. Ermita, Cebu City

market

The Daily Grind. Vendors and their fresh flowers at Freedom Park near Carbon Market.

If you have heard of Dangwa, the largest flower market in Manila, this must be Cebu’s version of it. Located at Magallanes Street, which is a stone’s throw away from Carbon Market and just 5 to10 minutes walk away from Santo Niño Church, the flower stalls right across University of San Jose-Recoletos are impossible not to spot.

There are many flower vendors offering a wide variety of local and imported flowers in Freedom Park Market. Flower arrangements for Valentine’s Day range from PhP500 to PhP9,000, depending on the variety and number of flowers. The best part of doing your flower shopping spree here is that you can haggle with the vendors.

If you want to go to Freedom Park market, ride a jeepney marked 04B, 04C, 17B or 17C. Jeepneys in Cebu City have alpha-numeric route codes to indicate the specific areas of their itinerary. Their route is usually displayed at the top part of a jeepney’s masthead.

Sirao Flower Farm

Address: Brgy. Sirao, Cebu City, Cebu

flower store

Celosia flowers resemble fire. Celosia is a Greek word which means “burning.”

Up north is Sirao Flower Farm, also known as Mini Amsterdam, is where you can get not only flowers but also artful and soothing backgrounds for selfies because of its beautiful landscape. The farm is a tourist destination itself; you can even bring your partner here for a date!

If you are after fresh flowers, you can go to this family-owned farm and buy flowers in a farm-to-table fashion, which means you are assured of its freshness. Their most popular flower is the Celosia which costs Php25 per six stems. The flower comes in gold, pink, purple, orange, red, and sometimes in bicolor. They also have gerberas and chrysanthemums. Prices start at PhP40 for a dozen of these flowers.

Sirao Flower Farm is 17 kilometers up from JY Square mall and is accessible by private car or a habal-habal (motorcycle for hire) ride which can cost around P200 per person back and forth. Entrance fee costs PhP20.

Snowy flowers in decorative glass globes

If you do not have the luxury of time to shop and handpick flowers, online flower shops can let you easily and quickly choose a flower arrangement and have them send it to your chosen recipient.

If you are into unique arrangements and would like to give flowers that last longer than fresh ones, you can check out Cebu Snowy Flower Online Shop in Osmeña Boulevard for their do-it-yourself (DIY) flower arrangement using snowy flowers and other craft materials. Snowy flowers are a type of chrysanthemums that have been subjected to a frosting technology that makes them last for ten years.

Meanwhile, Kalidades House of Flowers is another flower shop that has unique offerings. Aside from the usual flower bouquets in their physical stores, they have boxes of preserved roses sold online that come in a range of colors including baby blue, Tiffany blue, denim blue, black, fuschia, peach, white, yellow, and even rainbow colors. Prices for preserved flowers range from PhP1,600 to PhP2,200.
