Maremegmeg Beach in El Nido gained recognition on a global scale, as Lonely Planet lists this famous beach in El Nido as one of the 100 World’s Most Incredible Beaches to visit in 2024. This stunning beach in Palawan boasts crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand, and breathtaking limestone cliffs that frame the picturesque Palawan coastline.

This recognition of being among the best beaches in El Nido is included in Lonely Planet’s 2024 travel guidebook for travelers to visit.

Lonely Planet describes Maremegmeg Beach in El Nido as a beach spot in Palawan with an exciting sunset bar scene, nestled near the Beach Shack and centered at the Maremegmeg Beach Bar.

Together with El Nido in the World’s 100 Best Beaches is the Pacifico Beach in Siargao in Surigao del Norte.

One of the reasons why Maremegmeg Beach made it to this international accolade is its zipline extending across the water, connecting from the mainland to the island. This zipline offers one-way and roundtrip options ranging from PhP500 to PhP900. If you want to take a tricycle from El Nido to the beach, a one-way trip usually costs around PhP150.

Palawan’s Provincial Tourism Promotions and Development Office, or PTPDO, also reports that El Nido remains the province’s most popular municipal destination, gaining 518,385 visitors in 2023.
