It’s a Korean invasion this coming August and Cebuanos are welcoming it with open arms. Two fan gatherings and a club party are just some of the exciting events in Cebu this August 2019 to look out for. Throw in a job fair and a joint concert by two of the hottest bands in the country today, and you will see a lot of smiling faces in Cebu next month.
Fans of EXO will come together to celebrate their passion for the K-pop group this coming August.

Fans of EXO have something to look forward to on the first Sunday of the month. The EXplOration: GALAXY'S EDGE will be held at the Mangosix Coffee & Dessert from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Presented by Lucky One Cebu, Cebu EXO-L members can look forward to an afternoon of fun and excitement during the event. Ticket holders will receive freebies, including button pins, a banner, photo cards, and a cup sleeve. The event is limited to ticket holders due to space limitations of the venue. Ticket holders should also buy one drink to get the freebies.
Tip: It is advisable to purchase tickets ahead of time when attending events with limited seats since tickets may run out sooner than you think.
How to get there: From Ayala Center Cebu, you can ride a jeepney headed for Lahug at the Ayala Center Cebu Jeepney Terminal. Tell the driver to let you off at La Guardia or Cebu Aeronautical Technical School (CATS). Mangosix Coffee & Dessert is located across Cebu Aeronautical Technical School (CATS).

Hosted by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) – Mandaue, the event brings together local and international employers in one venue. Several overseas agencies will be present at the venue looking to find the perfect candidates for their clients.
Tip: When you are joining a job fair, it is advisable to bring many copies of your resume. You should also be prepared by checking the online directory of employers as well as dress appropriately.
How to get there: From SM City Cebu, you can ride a jeepney headed for Consolacion. Tell the driver to let you off at Insular Square in Mandaue City.
3. Dream Of A Start TXT PH: Fan Gathering In Cebu!

Tomorrow X Together or TXT may not have reached the shore of Cebu, but this is not stopping fans from showing their support for the popular South Korean boy band. On August 18, Cebuano fans will gather at the Banging Pipes Dance Studio for the Dream Of A Start TXT PH: Fan Gathering In Cebu! This is the second gathering of fans of the five-member group and the first time it is held in the Queen City of the South. Aside from listening to the popular songs of the band, fans can expect games, food and drink booths, and many more fun activities during the event.
Tip: Attending fan gatherings can be made more fun if you attend these events with friends who are fans of the same group.
How to get there: From Ayala Center Cebu, you can ride a jeepney headed for the Cebu Doctor’s Hospital at the Ayala Center Cebu Jeepney Terminal. Tell the driver to let you off across the hospital. From there, get on a jeepney headed for Colon Street and get off at the Social Security System (SSS) building. You can walk towards Sanciangko Street and turn right. The Banging Pipes Dance Studio is located a few meters from the corner.

DJ HYO of Girls Generation is coming to the Queen City of the South for a one-day event at the end of August.

Her real name is Kim Hyo-yeon, but she is more popular as HYO. And on August 31, she is coming to Cebu. A member of Girls Generation, DJ HYO, as she is called these days, will headline Plus82 Party Series: HYO at Oqtagon at the end of the month. When the members of the group focused on their individual careers, HYO took a different path and became a DJ. Fans of the group can look forward to seeing and partying with their idol at the end of the month.
Tip: Dressing smart means following the dress code of the club if you are attending a party at the place. While people are fashion-savvy these days, it would be best to put on something comfortable but chic when attending club parties.
How to get there: From SM City Cebu, you can get on a taxi to get to OQTAGON in Merea High Street, Ouano Avenue, Mandaue City.

Silent Sanctuary and December Avenue are set to perform in a concert together to lift the spirits of those whose hearts were broken. Fans of the bands can sing along to their favorite tunes and soothe their heartaches while looking forward to a better tomorrow.
Tip: Attending a concert can be quite exhausting especially if you are having fun. So it is advisable to rest well before you go to the concert. Eat a hearty meal and remain hydrated. And simply have fun.
How to get there: From Ayala Center Cebu, you can ride a jeepney headed for Landers Superstore at the Ayala Center Cebu Jeepney Terminal. Get off across Landers and cross the street and walk along Pope John Paul II Avenue. The IEC Convention Center is located right beside the gasoline station across the street.
