When the Christmas season comes, the air is normally filled with Christmas songs from the best local and foreign artists. The lyrics of some songs hint at a snowy Christmas season, particularly songs from foreign artists. Many Cebuanos used to dream of the day they can experience this type of Christmas. Well, this may not be just a dream anymore.

Snow World Cebu gives residents and visitors of Cebu the chance to experience a white Christmas the whole year-round. It is the first world-class ice theme park in Cebu. Located in the nearby town of Minglanilla, the facility features several attractions, including an ice slide, ice sculptures, and a coffee shop which guests can enjoy for a very reasonable price. While a similar facility already exists in Pasay, Metro Manila, Snow World Cebu is bigger with an area of 2,000 square meters.

Let us take a look at what you can find and do inside Snow World Cebu.

1. Ice sculptures greet guests at Snow World Cebu.

One of the first things you can see at Snow World Cebu are the ice sculptures. While you can also see ice sculptures in big parties and events, they slowly melt into nothingness after a while. But at Snow World Cebu, the ice sculptures remain as they are due to the below-freezing temperature of the place.

Besides the impressive ice sculptures, you can also see the reindeer of Santa, swans, penguins, and many other animals depicted in ice. Since the indoor park is located in Cebu, an ice sculpture of the Sto. Niño can also be found inside Snow World Cebu. Moreover, guests will also see the fountain at the Fuente Osmeña circle sculpted in ice. These ice sculptures were carved by the best ice carvers in the country.

2. Slide with your friends on the ice slide.

Going down the ice slide is an exhilarating experience for guests of Snow World Cebu.

Waterslides are a dime a dozen in the island, but Snow World Cebu offers something different for its guests: an ice slide. The ice slide at the park gives guests the chance to slide along bends and curves with their family or friends. Sliding down the slide can be an amazing experience for anyone who loves getting an adrenaline fix. The fact that the slide is made of ice makes it more exhilarating.

You can opt to slide on your own or with your friends. While the ice slide is suitable for everybody, guests who are less than four feet tall should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Going down the ice slide is one of the more popular activities at Snow World Cebu. Due to this, you may expect a considerable queue of guests waiting their turn to go down the slide. But once it’s your turn to go down the ice slide, the wait will be worth it.

3. Check out the whole place from the viewing deck.

Snow World Cebu also features a viewing deck close to the top of the ice slide. They can appreciate the ice sculptures better from this vantage point. Moreover, the viewing deck is also a great place to stay for guests who are not keen on going down the slide. While they may not be too enthusiastic about going down the ice slide, they may be tempted, especially if they see their friends having the time of their lives.

4. Real snow experience.

Guests can finally experience a white Christmas in the tropical island of Cebu.

In the past, the closest Cebuanos could only get to experience snow is when they would clean ice buildup in their freezers. But this has changed with the opening of Snow World Cebu. The indoor theme park gives residents and visitors of Cebu the chance to get a real snow experience throughout the whole year. Guests at the park can play with the snow, but snowball fights may not be advisable since you may find yourself sent out of the facility.

5. Unlimited same-day entry.

Guests have unlimited access to the ice theme park on the same day they bought their tickets.

While some theme parks in the country limit the number of times guests can enter the premises on the day they bought their tickets, guests at Snow World Cebu enjoy unlimited entry on the day the tickets were purchased. They can also stay inside the facility as long as they want. But this may not be advisable since the environment inside the facility is so cold that you can see your breath turn into a fog of ice water vapor each time you exhale.

6. Keep yourself warm with hot coffee at the coffee shop.

The coffee shop is a good place to stay if you want to get a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at Snow World Cebu.

Snow World Cebu has a food park selling food and drinks located outside the facility. But guests who want to stay inside the premises can also check out the coffee shop where they can have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The coffee shop is perfect for people who want to keep warm while staying inside. The price of regular coffee is PhP30 while coffee with chocolate costs PhP40.
