There are many bars, cafes, and restaurants in Bacolod City where you can dine, chill, and have a good time. This Valentine’s Day, you may be flooded with various marketing promos on where to go on a date in the City of Smiles. And so, we’ve compiled a list of new dating spots and ideas to help you have a perfect dating experience this love month.


1. CityMall Cinema Bacolod

Where: Lacson St., Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

CityMall Cinema Bacolod is the newest addition to CityMall Mandalagan. It is an ideal place to have a movie date this love month. CityMall Cinema Bacolod features two theaters. Cinema 1 has regular seating, while the Premier Cinema offers a comfortable movie experience with 40 plush reclining couches. With tickets at PhP180 (regular) or PhP250 (premier) per person, a movie date is a fun and affordable way to bond with your partner.

2. 9th Ave. KTV

If both of you love to sing, then a karaoke date is perfect! One place you can visit is 9th Ave. KTV, a new karaoke television (KTV) in the business district of Bacolod. You and your can date can sing at the top of your lungs in uniquely decorated rooms. They have travel-inspired karaoke rooms and a Hello Kitty inspired one as well. Rates at 9th Ave. KTV are at PhP250 per hour.

3. Maria - Kucina • Familia

Maria - Kucina • Familia is a new, classy fine dining restaurant in the business district of Bacolod City which is ideal for families, couples, and friends. For a special romantic date, it is recommended that you share their delicious dishes like their garlic spareribs and glazed chicken (PhP220 each). In a place with good food matched with a lovely atmosphere, just keep the sweet conversation going and you’ve perfectly set a memorable and romantic date.


4. Power up Rock Outdoor Center

Where: 11th St., Bacolod City
Operating Hours: Monday to Saturday, Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

If both of you love some challenge and adventure, then a rock climbing date is a great idea. You can head to Power up Rock Outdoor Center, the only indoor rock climbing facility in Bacolod City. Rates per session are at PhP180 for an unlimited number of hours.



5. Negros Museum

Where: Gatuslao St., Bacolod City
Operating Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The newly refurbished The Negros Museum is a fitting dating spot for couples who are history buffs. Couples can reminisce on the history of Negros through memorabilia and historical illustrations. You can also enjoy an art exhibit inside the museum. In addition, you can feed both your minds and stomachs at the Negros Museum Café just beside the establishment. Entrance fee to the museum is at PhP100.

6. Habits Bar & Cafe

If you and your partner love going out for drinks, then Habits Bar & Cafe is the place to be. In the daytime, the cafe serves food and coffee. The bar opens in the evening to serve alcoholic beverages. The bar area is at the second floor and its millennial vibe complements the industrial look of the place. They say alcohol loosens the tongue, so expect some fun conversations on this kind of date! Cocktail towers are available at PhP200 and beer towers at Php300.

If both of you are foodies, then a gastronomical date is recommended for you. Balay Gastronomica is one of the newest restaurants in the business district of the city. The place is an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. They have delicious cuisines served home-style which capture the essence of the place. Diners can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet (PhP275) every Thursday which includes chicken, pasta, pizza, rice, and drinks.
