April will be a busy month for singers, dancers, and choreographers as a number of dancing and singing contests are in the pipeline. A couple of cosplay events will also give anime enthusiasts in Cebu something to look forward to and finally, foodies can check out the best the food industry has to offer at a food exhibit. 1. World Food Expo (WOFEX)

The event is open to aspiring singers from 16 to 25 years old and will be held at the activity center of Gaisano Country Mall. But before participants can enter the main stage, they have to pass a screening event two days before the contest proper itself. If you are looking to show off your skills while visiting Cebu on the first weekend of April, you may want to check out this event. The same event will also be held at Gaisano Main and Gaisano Town Center Moalboal.

3. Battlegrounds Philippines - Visayas Leg

Hip-hop enthusiasts will have the opportunity to show off their dance moves at the Battlegrounds Philippines - Visayas Leg. Set at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation Lahug Campus, the event will bring together the top hip-hop dance crews from all over the Visayas. Already on its 12th year, the dancers will get to showcase their talents and be given the chance to express themselves on the dance floor. Winners will get to participate in the nationals to be held in Metro Manila.

This means it is a rather unique cosplay event for mystical and magical anime characters. Cosact IV: The Magic Starts will be held at the J Center Mall on April 6 and 7.

Gaisano Town Center Balamban will host Hello Summer Dance Craze and will bring together dance enthusiasts in the shipbuilding town of Balamban. The event will start at 1PM and will end at 3 PM. You may want to check out the event if you find yourself in Balamban on the second Saturday of April.
